Privacy and data handling

PA Calendar Assist is a personal, owner-operated calendar tool.

Google Calendar

With the owner’s approval, the app reads events from configured calendars to prepare schedules and identify overlaps, and creates events when requested. It requests calendar-event access; it does not request Gmail or Google Drive access.

Message processing

Zalo carries the owner’s requests and the assistant’s replies. Natural-language requests, relevant settings and a short clarification history are sent to the OpenAI API to interpret calendar instructions. Scheduled reports are assembled directly from calendar data without sending event lists to the language model.

Storage

The app runs on Cloudflare Workers. Connection credentials are stored in encrypted Worker secrets and in a private local configuration file used for setup. Persistent app storage holds preferences, short clarification history and processing records used to avoid duplicate bookings and reports. Processing records currently have no automatic expiry. Clarification history is cleared after a successful booking or report.

Access and control

The bot accepts commands only from its configured private owner chat. Calendar information is used to provide the requested assistant features. The owner can revoke Google authorisation through their Google Account, stop the service, or delete its stored data. Disabling the service does not remove existing Google Calendar events.

Google, Zalo, OpenAI and Cloudflare process data according to their respective service policies. This app does not sell calendar data or use it for advertising.
